CVE Descriptions

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in (1) acid_qry_main.php in Analysis Console for Intrusion Databases (ACID) 0.9.6b20 and (2) base_qry_main.php in Basic Analysis and Security Engine (BASE) 1.2, and unspecified other console scripts in these products, allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the sig[1] parameter and possibly other parameters.

CVE Informations

Related Weaknesses

CWE-ID Weakness Name Source
CWE-89 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')
The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.

EPSS

EPSS is a scoring model that predicts the likelihood of a vulnerability being exploited.

EPSS Score

The EPSS model produces a probability score between 0 and 1 (0 and 100%). The higher the score, the greater the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited.

EPSS Percentile

The percentile is used to rank CVE according to their EPSS score. For example, a CVE in the 95th percentile according to its EPSS score is more likely to be exploited than 95% of other CVE. Thus, the percentile is used to compare the EPSS score of a CVE with that of other CVE.

source: https://www.securityfocus.com/bid/15199/info Basic Analysis And Security Engine is prone to an SQL injection vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in an SQL query. Successful exploitation could result in a compromise of the application, disclosure or modification of data, or may permit an attacker to exploit vulnerabilities in the underlying database implementation. http://www.example.com/base/base_qry_main.php?new=1&sig[0]=%3D&sig[1]=[SQL]&submit=Query+DB
